First meeting, smooth reception
Perhaps because of the warm and easy-going personality of Latin Americans, they have been very patient, sincere and enthusiastic from the reception to the factory inspection process to the final return to the hotel, and they never tire of our problems. In the harmonious communication, It broke my worry and uneasiness before departure.
talk again, no idea
This is the first customer I receive to visit the factory, and I know in my heart that this customer must be followed closely. When they got back to Mexico, I kept in touch with them by email and Skype. Even with the time difference of the other party, it is usually offline and there is no reply. Just when I thought there was nothing going on, a week later I finally received a message "Please send us all product quotations, including detailed specifications, parameters and packaging", followed by another week of no news. Fortunately, I received another message from him a week later, "We just finished a week of vacation and are promoting your products. We will contact you when we have news." At this point, my heart is a little more stable.
Heartfelt, happy to be recognized
Because of the communication during the previous visit to the factory, our topic has become much clearer at this time. I have learned to be his audience and listen patiently to his needs. Maybe it's because he is new to the LED industry and doesn't know much about the LED market. I will explain every question to him in detail and make suggestions. He is a very careful customer, such as the color of the border, the parameters are accurate to a value instead of the range, the size error is down to millimeters, etc., and the details have been discussed for a long time.
At the same time, because of the time difference, I have to tell the client clearly: If you have any questions, ask them all at once, and I will answer them one by one; similarly, if I give you any information, you have to confirm it with your client, and I will answer it when I wake up tomorrow. When I come, I will receive your reply on what aspects. Only in this way I will not waste 1 day, and so on.
Place an order and the dust settles
In this way, I went back and forth to confirm the details. In the last item, he mentioned a size commonly used in Mexico, because it is not our regular size, so let me give some professional advice. Considering the actual situation, after repeated discussions with the factory, I put forward my opinion and decided to open a new template for him. Probably because of the previous heart-to-heart recognition, I didn't expect him to trust me so much. He placed an order without trying a new size sample first. Half a month later, the product was shipped smoothly.
At this point, I thought of a few conclusions:
Don't judge people by their covers, every customer may be a potential customer, and every contact is an opportunity.
Customers do not understand the market and industry, so we should give more help and provide more objective information instead of subjective and random guidance, and at the same time try to maintain contact and communication in an emotionally convenient way.
Only those who "must" are closer to success. When I replied to him several times that certain conditions were "impossible", it was the customer who kept encouraging me to insist on "must". After repeated communication with engineering and material suppliers, those things that were originally "impossible" were resolved. Ultimately achieve a win-win situation.
Attention to detail. Nowadays, the LED market is very transparent, and the key to success or failure often lies in tedious details.
